How do I care for my Ninja Master Prep?

  • Do NOT immerse the power head into water or any other liquid. Use a damp sponge to wipe clean.
  • Containers, splash guards, blades and storage lids are all dishwasher safe. It is recommended to place the blades, splash guards and storage lids on top rack of dishwasher.
  • Use extreme caution when cleaning & handling the blades. Always store blades in containers or safe area.

Will the Ninja Master Prep blend vegetables and fruits into drinkable liquids?

Yes, but the Master Prep is not a juice extractor, so you may need to add liquid or ice to reach the consistency you desire.

Can I make hot soup in my blender?

The Ninja Master Prep is capable of blending hot, steamed or cooked ingredients into soup, but will not create hot soup from cold, raw ingredients.

Is it okay to put the Ninja Master Prep in the dishwasher?

Yes, all of the Ninja Master Prep parts are dishwasher safe EXCEPT the Power Pod. It is recommended to use the top rack of dishwasher for the blades, lids and splash guards.

What parts of the Ninja Master Prep are microwave safe?

The bowl and pitcher are both microwave safe.

How much do the containers hold?

The pitcher holds 48 oz (6 cups); the bowl holds 16 oz (2 cups).

Can I use the blades for the chopper in the pitcher or the pitcher blades in the chopper?

No, each blade set is specifically designed for use in its designated container.

How many Watts is the Ninja?

The Ninja Master Prep has 400 Watts and operates on 120V with 60Hz of electrical power.

What is the blade speed?

The Ninja Master Prep has a unique one-speed pulsing system that allows you to have total control while pulsing and blending to desired consistency.

For how long can I use the Ninja?

Never use the Ninja for more than 20 seconds without a pause. And, never use the Ninja when it is empty.

What do I do if the motor doesn't start or the blades don't rotate?

  • Check that the plug is securely inserted into the electrical outlet.
  • Check that the Bowl Splash Guard and Power Pod are securely in place.

Why is my food unevenly chopped?

Likely, you are chopping too much food at one time or the pieces are not small enough. Try cutting the food into smaller, evenly sized pieces and processing smaller amounts per batch.

What do I do if my food is chopped too finely or is too watery?

The food may have been over processed. In the future, use brief pulses or process for a shorter time. For best results, let the blades stop completely between pulses.

Why does food sometimes collect on the Splash Guard/Safety Cover or on the sides of the Master Prep Pitcher or Bowl?

You may be processing too much food. Turn the machine off. When the blades stop rotating, remove the Power Pod and the Splash Guard. Remove some of the food being processed and try again.
